"There are ten sources of contention, Upāli.

Here, Upāli, monks explain what is no offence as 'an offence', explain an offence as 'no offence', explain a light offence as 'a heavy offence', explain a heavy offence as 'a light offence', explain a coarse offence as 'not a coarse offence', explain what is not a coarse offence as 'a coarse offence', explain a remediable offence as 'an irremediable offence', explain an irremediable offence as 'a remediable offence', explain a remediable offence as 'an irremediable offence', explain an irremediable offence as 'a remediable offence'.
These, Upāli, are the ten sources of contention."
