That abandoned by you will be for your welfare and happiness.
And what, monks, is not yours?
Forms, monks, are not yours;
abandon them.
They abandoned by you will be for your welfare and happiness.
Sounds...
Odours...
Flavours...
Tangible objects...
Mental phenomena are not yours;
abandon them.
They abandoned by you will be for your welfare and happiness.
Just as, monks, whatever in this Jeta's Grove... etc.
So too, monks, forms are not yours;
abandon them.
They abandoned by you will be for your welfare and happiness."
