The Discourse on Rain Cloud Devas

At Sāvatthī.
Seated to one side, that monk said this to the Blessed One -
"What, venerable sir, is the cause, what is the condition, whereby it sometimes rains?"
"There are, monk, gods named rain cloud gods.
When for them it occurs thus -
'What if we were to dwell in our own delight,' following that mental aspiration of theirs, it rains.
This, monk, is the cause, this is the condition, whereby it sometimes rains."
