The Discourse on Sagacity

This was said by the Blessed One, said by the Worthy One, thus have I heard:
"There are, monks, these three kinds of sagacity. What three? Bodily sagacity, verbal sagacity, mental sagacity. These, monks, are the three kinds of sagacity." The Blessed One said this meaning. Therein this is said:
"A sage in body, a sage in speech, a sage in mind, without mental corruptions;
A sage accomplished in sagacity, they call him one who has washed away evil."
This meaning too was spoken by the Blessed One, thus have I heard. The eighth.
