The Discourse on the Very Confused

At Sāvatthī.
Standing to one side, that deity spoke this verse in the presence of the Blessed One:
"Those who are very confused about the teachings may be led away by the doctrines of others.
They are asleep and do not awaken. It is time for them to awaken."
[The Blessed One:] "Those who are not confused about the teachings cannot be led away by the doctrines of others.
Those are the Perfectly Enlightened Ones, who, having rightly understood, fare evenly amidst the uneven."
