At Sāvatthī.
Seated to one side, that monk said this to the Blessed One -
"What, venerable sir, is the cause, what is the condition, whereby it is sometimes cold?"
"There are, monk, gods named cold rain cloud gods.
When for them it occurs thus -
'What if we were to dwell in our own delight,' following that mental aspiration of theirs, it becomes cold.
This, monk, is the cause, this is the condition, whereby it is sometimes cold."
