"Monks, without abandoning these ten qualities, one is incapable of realising arahantship.
What are the ten?
Lust, hate, delusion, wrath, hostility, contempt, insolence, envy, stinginess, conceit -
these, monks, without abandoning these ten qualities, one is incapable of realising arahantship.
"Monks, by abandoning these ten qualities, one is capable of realising arahantship. What are the ten? Lust, hate, delusion, wrath, hostility, contempt, insolence, envy, stinginess, conceit - these, monks, by abandoning these ten qualities, one is capable of realising arahantship." The tenth.
