At Sāvatthī.
"For whomsoever, monks, the noble eightfold path has been missed, missed for them is the noble eightfold path rightly leading to the elimination of suffering.
For whomsoever, monks, the noble eightfold path has been undertaken, undertaken for them is the noble eightfold path rightly leading to the elimination of suffering.
And what, monks, is the noble eightfold path?
That is:
right view, etc.
right concentration.
For whomsoever, monks, this noble eightfold path has been missed, missed for them is the noble eightfold path rightly leading to the elimination of suffering.
For whomsoever, monks, this noble eightfold path has been undertaken, undertaken for them is the noble eightfold path rightly leading to the elimination of suffering."
