"Monks, without abandoning six qualities, one is incapable of realising a superhuman distinction in knowledge and vision worthy of the noble ones.
Which six?
Forgetfulness, lack of full awareness, not guarding the doors of the sense faculties, immoderation in eating, scheming, and talking.
Monks, without abandoning these six qualities, one is incapable of realising a superhuman distinction in knowledge and vision worthy of the noble ones.
"Monks, by abandoning six qualities, one is capable of realising a superhuman distinction in knowledge and vision worthy of the noble ones. Which six? Forgetfulness, lack of full awareness, not guarding the doors of the sense faculties, immoderation in eating, scheming, and talking.
