"For the rising of the sun, monks, this is the forerunner, this is the advanced sign, that is to say -
the break of dawn;
so too, monks, for a monk, for the arising of the noble eightfold path, this is the forerunner, this is the advanced sign, that is to say -
accomplishment in morality.
For a monk accomplished in morality, monks, this is to be expected -
that is to say -
accomplishment in desire...
that is to say -
accomplishment in self...
that is to say -
accomplishment in right view...
that is to say -
accomplishment in diligence...
