The Discourse on the Garden of Delight

Thus have I heard -
On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Sāvatthī in Jeta's Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika's park.
There the Blessed One addressed the monks thus:
"Monks."
"Venerable sir," those monks assented to the Blessed One.
The Blessed One said this:
"Once in the past, monks, a certain deity of the host of the Thirty-three gods was revelling in the Garden of Delight, surrounded by a retinue of celestial nymphs, and, endowed and furnished with the five kinds of celestial sensual pleasure. At that time he spoke this verse:
The abode of the glorious male gods belonging to the host of Thirty-three gods.'
"When this was said, monks, a certain deity replied to that deity in verse -
Impermanent are all activities; their nature is to arise and fall.
Having arisen, they cease; their appeasement is blissful."
