"Monks, without directly knowing and fully understanding hate, without making the mind dispassionate towards it, and without abandoning it, one is incapable of eliminating suffering. But, monks, by directly knowing and fully understanding hate, by making the mind dispassionate towards it, and by abandoning it, one is capable of eliminating suffering."
