He began his career at ORCO S.A. in 1987 as IT Specialist and Consultant, where he led software development and IT projects with a specialisation in air transport systems.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since 1989, he has worked in technical translation and software localisation, initially managing IBM localisation projects and later serving major clients including Microsoft, HP, and Oracle. He became Head of the Translation and Localization Department and Vice President of ORCO S.A., serving on the Board of Directors until 2008.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since 2008, he operates as an independent technical consultant through his company TMServe, providing services to the translation and localisation sector in Greece and internationally.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Specialisation<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Costas specialises in technical translation and localisation processes, project setup and optimisation, translation memory and terminology database management, and the selection and implementation of appropriate tools for each project.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He has been at the forefront of Computer-Aided Translation (CAT) tools since the early 1990s and is a Certified SDL\/RWS Trados Trainer (since 2002) and Memsource\/Phrase Certified Trainer (since 2016).<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In recent years, he has focused on language data structures and the application of Large Language Models to translation, text understanding, and knowledge acquisition.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Teaching<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Costas has taught CAT tools, translation and localisation project management, and Machine Translation at institutions including ORCO S.A., the Hellenic American University (Master in Translation program), meta|\u03c6\u03c1\u03b1\u03c3\u03b7\u00a0school of translation studies, and Dimetra Academy.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Role in PaliVerse<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Costas is responsible for P\u0101li text extraction and segmentation using CAT tools, and for structuring the texts in XML format to enable both website presentation and interconnection between Tipi\u1e6daka, A\u1e6d\u1e6dhakath\u0101, and\u00a0\u1e6c\u012bk\u0101.
